Food, in addition to supplying our physiological and nutritional needs, also provides us with channels to express our emotions and opportunities to share in society. Foods such as sugar, have the ability to provide the body with calories necessary for its functioning as it is, involved in the activation of the neurological system where certain neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine participate, modulating moods. Unfortunately, our consumption habits have triggered an overconsumption of sugar that has sometimes led to its stigmatization. In this way, I consider that traditional sweeteners, be they called sugar, glucose or fructose syrups, should not be replaced. We consider that they are mostly products of natural origin, from which we must make the most of it. The invitation is to consume them responsibly along with healthy lifestyle habits such as frequent physical activity.
